We organized the questions into three groups: before your rafting adventure, during your rafting adventure and after your rafting adventure. Before Your Whitewater Rafting Adventure

Everything! It may sound like a bold statement, but we encourage you to do some research on other outfitters on the Lehigh River. We’re sure you’ll find there isn’t another company out there that matches our standards of customer service, professionalism (on and off the water), quality of equipment, facilities, safety, and staff!

We provide you with our knowledgeable and talented river guides, commercial grade rafts, life jackets, paddles, bailing buckets, a waterproof lunch container, a free shuttle both to and from the river, free parking (buses are welcome), modern facilities including a cafe, well-stocked store, heated changing rooms and hot showers.

As with any outdoor activity, there are inherent risks. Although safety cannot be guaranteed, the entire Whitewater Rafting Adventures staff makes your safety their top priority and it shows.

When choosing a trip for you and your group, there are three primary factors to consider: Your desired level of adventure, your desired trip duration, and your location. Remember, when choosing your trip, please be realistic about everyone’s abilities and be sure to ask questions of our staff prior to booking. Yes. Reservations are required and payment in full must be recieved prior to the date of your adventure. Same day reservations are accepted based on availability, so please call ahead.

You can book a rafting reservation online or you can call 570.669.9127 or our toll-free number 800.876.0285 and talk to one of our knowledgeable and friendly reservation specialists. They are more than happy to answer any of your questions and can assist you in choosing your perfect Whitewater Rafting Adventure. All online reservations are considered tenative until payment is recieved and a check-in time is assigned.

Cancellations made more than 21 days prior to the departure of the trip will receive a full refund. Reservations canceled between 7 to 20 days of the trip departure will receive a refund, less a $10 per person processing fee. Reservations canceled within 7 days of the trip departure will receive no refund – this applies to no-shows and late arrivals as well. It is your responsibility be here at your scheduled check-in time. There are no exceptions to this policy so please remember to account for weather conditions, traffic, construction, etc.

WRA charges an additional River Access Fee of $3.00 per person for our Summer Rafting & EZ Whitewater trips and $6.00 per person for our Class III Whitewater trip. Rafting guide gratuities and optional rental equipment are not included in the trip price.

During Your White Water Rafting Adventure

Once your reservation is confirmed you will be provided with a check-in time. Please arrive at our Adventure Center no later than that time. Feel free to arrive up to 30 minutes early if you need to pick up any food or drinks from our wonderful café (Red Rock).

For warmer days come prepared with a towel, swim suit or quick-drying shorts and sandals with a heel strap, old sneakers, or water socks that you don’t mind getting wet. For cooler days, it’s a good idea to bring some extra layers, but be sure to avoid cotton as it will keep you cold and wet. Keep in mind that we also have a large selection of wetsuits, Farmer Johns, padding jackets, half-suits, mitts and neoprene boots available for rent.

No. All of our guests are fitted with Coast Guard approved Type V life jackets that are designed to keep you afloat in the event that you find yourself out of the raft. You will also be accompanied by trained guides who will be there to assist you if needed.

The number of people per raft can vary from trip to trip. However, all of our rafts can comfortably accommodate 4 to 7 guests.

Rapids are rated on a scale from Class I through Class VI and are as follows:
• Class I: No significant waves or obstacles
• Class II: Rapids with regular waves, clear passages and wide channels.
• Class III: Irregular waves and narrow channels. Maneuvering to avoid obstacles is required.
• Class IV: Intense, but predictable rapids requiring precise maneuvering, with some unavoidable waves and tight passages.
• Class V: Long, and or violent rapids with large drops, unavoidable waves, and tight channels requiring precise maneuvering.
• Class VI: Virtually non-navigable, or navigable only at particularly favorable river levels.

If your camera is not waterproof, we do not recommend bringing it on the trip as it will probably get wet! There is also a chance you may lose your camera in the river. However, reusable waterproof cameras are available for sale in our retail shop and are ideal for taking on rafting trips. Also, please keep in mind that we have a photographer who will be taking pictures of your raft during your trip and will be available for viewing and purchase immediately following your trip.

Our trips leave as scheduled, rain or shine. In the event of extreme weather conditions, we do reserve the right to alter your trip.

Lunch is not included. A fantastic, riverside box lunch can be pre-ordered for all of our adventures. You have a choice of turkey breast, ham or a vegetarian sandwich with provolone cheese, lettuce & tomato on a fresh roll.
After Your White Water Rafting Adventure

Absolutely. If your guides contributed to your enjoyment of the day please give them a tip! Gratuities for guides are acceptable and greatly appreciated. And we’d love to hear about it as well. Our guides are some of the most important people on our staff and we want to know when they are doing a great job.

Absolutely! We have a first-class retail shop stocked with a wide variety of T-shirts, sweatshirts, hats, snacks, drinks, etc….come on in!

Pocono Mountain Paintball is a family owned and operated business with the goal of providing you and your group with the best paintball playing experience possible. We achieve this by high standards of customer service, professionalism (on and off the field), quality of equipment, facilities, safety, and staff!

All admission packages include Admission (either half or whole day), Paintball Gun, Goggles, Unlimited Compressed Air, free parking (buses are welcome), modern facilities including cafe, well-stocked store, heated changing rooms and hot showers.

Paintballs, Camouflage clothing & Food. Paintballs must be purchased from Pocono Mountain Paintball. Paintball rates are listed on our Activity Page. Camouflage coveralls can be rented for $6.00 per day. You can bring your own food and non alcoholic drinks or order from our Red Rock Cafe.

The minimum age allowed to play at Pocono Mountain Paintball is 10 years old.

Online Reservations for paintball start with groups of 6 or more players. If you have less than 6 players, please call us at 570-669-9127 to see if we can accommodate you.

Yes, Reservations are required. There are cases where we can accept walk-ons, but this does not happen very often, so please call ahead to check on availability and to make a reservation. Even if you want to play on the same day.

Yes, all participants must read and sign a liability waiver. All players under 18 years of age must have a parent or guardian sign for them and complete a medical release form. Pocono Mountain Paintball Waivers and Medical Release Forms can be found on our Forms and Dowloads Page.

Yes, you can bring your own gun, goggles, clothing, and equipment. All private guns will be chronographed by a Pocono Mountain Paintball Staff member. You cannot bring your own paintballs, paint grenades, or any pyrotechnics.

No. All paintballs used at Pocono Mountain Paintball must be purchased on site. Paintball pricing is listed on our Activity Page.

The average player shoots about 500-750 paintballs during a full day and between 300-500 during a half day.

Yes, a small number of Spectators may be permitted. All Spectators must read and sign a liability waiver, pay a $10 Spectator fee, and wear goggles in all designated areas.

he most popular paintball game is based off of Capture the Flag. Capture the other team’s flag and return it to your own flag pole, while maintaining possession of your team’s flag. This is just one of many variations to the game. If you have a specific game in mind just let your Referee know; as long as it is safe, we will give it a shot.

We play rain or shine. In the event of extreme weather conditions, we do reserve the right to cancel and or alter your reservation.

If you want lunch during the day you can bring your own food and non alcoholic beverages or order from our very own Red Rock Cafe and have your lunch delivered right to the fields.

Absolutely. If your Referee contributed to your enjoyment of the day then give him a tip, it will be greatly appreciated. And we’d love to hear about it as well. Our Refs are some of the most important people on our staff and we want to know when they are doing a great job.
